Educational Initiatives

Muskaan is a promising student, good in academics and sports. She was selected for National level Handball competition and her team was placed first. Her father abandoned the family more than a decade ago and they are not even aware whether he is dead or alive. Her mother is the sole breadwinner, who cleans utensils in homes and supplements her income by stitching wedding dupattas to take care of her children and her aged mother.

Art For Causes was introduced to Muskan by Teach for India associates when she was in Grade 8 in a basti school and was on the verge of dropping out of school, due to acute financial constraints. She scored 9.0 in her 10th grade and is now in College pursuing her dream of becoming an aeronautical engineer.

There are many more children like them amidst us who need support. We strive to reach out to some of them and help them in whatever little way, we can. In addition to helping ease their financial burden of paying school fees, Art for Causes also helps children from underprivileged schools by introducing them to singing, yoga, story telling and painting.
